Are there sample tests for the foreign language and chemistry placement tests? i only see one for the math test. For the foreign language placement test, is it only reading and writing or does it also have listening?

how much chem does one have to know? i havent taken a chem class since sophmore year and i forgot all of it...

and anyone know if the math test has stuff on there like conic sections and polar coordinates?

it doesnt...its pretty easy

Where did you find the sample math test??

UM Math Placement Testing Instructions

You have to log-in to see/take the practice test. It only covers basic algebra/geometry, and things like that. The only purpose of the test is to see if you're qualified to attempt any type of calculus course, or if you need to be put into a remedial class.

the chem test is easy. Don't worry about it. Maybe do a little overview but don't relearn all of ap chem. It bascially covers chem at a normal level. Math too. Its only up to precalculus and there are no conics except for a few EASY parabolas. So don't worry about it. Placement tests are not something to study for. they are supposed to test which level your performing at and which level you should take. If you study too much, you may end up at a level you don't wish to be in.

I haven't seen anything for chemistry or foreign language, but there is also a review for the math test. Go to the instructions page and click on mathPrep at the top (it says UofM > mathDept > mathPrep > placeTest > instructions).
