Sample Resume?

I need to write a resume for my teachers (who are writing recommendations for me), but I'm not sure what to include/how to format it/etc. Can anyone point me to a sample resume?

I've written resumes for jobs before - but it's not quite the same thing.

Here's a good format:

Name
Phone number
Email
Courses/grades for all four years of high school
GPA (weighted and unweighted)
Class rank
SAT I scores
ACT scores
SAT II scores
AP/IB scores
Planned AP/IB exams
EC involvement (with short details -- short explanation, years involved, hours/week, weeks/year, leadership, accomplishments, etc.)
Employment --> what you did with your money
Academic honors/awards
Other activities (personal, etc.)
Interests
Colleges you're applying to (in order of preference, if you can)
Intended/possible majors

Obviously, put only what applies to you. I'd recommend underlining each section and putting bullets under each. Also, write a letter to your recommender -- why you're applying to what they're recommending you for, what they might mention in the letter (e.g. a passion you have that shows across your app and that they can attest to), submission details, other details specific to your situation, and a thank you.

It might also benefit you to include an essay you've written for college, if you think it might help them when they write your recommendation.

I'm working on drafting my resume now - I do have a question though. Don't worry, I'm not an Ivy candidate, or applying to THAT selective of a school. I don't participate in a lot of school activities, but I do community service and a have many of my own unique passions (i.e. classic car restoration) should I emphasize this on my application?

Also - why should I include what I did with my money under employment?

You put your test scores on your resume?

Hmm. I would only use this one on your resume for your first choice college.

Good idea mj93 - I'm actually only drafting an essay for my teachers at the moment though, not to submit to the colleges themselves.
