<p>I believe it's private.</p>
<p>I don't think so. They might post sample essays, or you can find some online. But stealing essays is stupid since someone already turned in that essay.</p>
<p>The first sample essay I saw was an example of how NOT to write a personal statement. The best essays are from the heart -- something only you would write and something that would serve as your Ambassador to the UC Adcoms.</p>
