CSU GPA: 3.65
SAT: 1260
What is your intended major?
Are you local, in-state or OOS?
undelcared and oos
You have a decent shot, but OOS can sometimes be unpredictable. Be sure to include some safety schools, in case you cannot afford SDSU (OOS students pay full price)
I agree with @uclahopefull you stand a decent chance but with # of applicants this year and increased competition, it could go either way.
Good luck.
- I got a 1320 on the SAT
Did you apply for this admission cycle or plan to apply for next fall? You Eligibility index puts you in range, but if you look at the EI’s posted for many of the majors even undeclared, there are no guarantees.
These are some of the EI’s posted this year for Undeclared majors that were accepted.
SAT EI’s.
4510- In-state
4240- In-state local
4206- In-state
4372- In-state
ACT EI’s
1066- OOS
1130- OOS
@Gumbymom what are my chances for aerospace engineering?
@MTown777, please make your own post. You are hijacking the OP’s post.
@“aunt bea” alrite
@Gumbymom I have a EI of 4200+ OOS. What major would you recommend I go into for the best chance of getting accepted? I don’t reallycare what my undergraduate major is or I’ll probably end up switching majors
Also, what do you think would be a competitive EI for OOS students applying fall of 2017? Is 4200+ a safe bet? thanks
All majors at SDSU including Undeclared are impacted meaning more qualified applicants than spots available. All applicants are accepted as a Pre-major and cannot continue on to Upper division majors classes until they meet a specific GPA defined for that major. The acceptance rate by majors can vary, but there is no specific easy major admit. With over 83,000 applicants there will be competition for all major spots. My advice is pick a major that you are interested in pursuing and do not count on changing majors easily. Some major changes can be more difficult than others.
4200 is a solid EI except for Nursing but there are no guarantees. Do your best, apply and see what happens next year.
