***San Diego State Class of 2020 Decisions Thread***

It seems like most of the business major applicants were accepted a couple days ago but I haven’t received anything. I have a 1180/1600 SAT and a 3.7gpa , does anyone know if and when there is going to be another wave of business major acceptances?

I got accepted today as a nursing major with an EI of 4528.
My step sister of the same day also got accepted today as a nursing major with an EI of 4322 today.
We are both in-state but not in the san diego zone.
Hope this helps!

Got accepted today!
Pre-mechanical engineering with an emphasis in biomedical eng.
SAT 1380/1600
International student
My application was complete January 30th.
Congrats to everyone!

Have any of the nursing admittees been OOS?

My online portal still says “pending” my major is Pre-Chemistry Biochemistry. I have a GPA of 3.6
I also attend a community college and have 17 units in college credit and my gpa is a 3.5 in college (its different compared to my high school gpa, so have to send in two different transcripts) do I have any chance of getting accepted or should I just give up hope. I’m starting to get really discouraged.

@Olivia2020: More acceptances should be coming through next week.

Does anyone know how the acceptances are released? Is it by major, alphabetical?, in state/OOS.

@calistudent16 Hi! All I know is that SDSU is known for their business school and cal poly is known for their engineering, but I would assume that business is good at both schools!

@calistudent16: Are there are any financials concerns?. Both have excellent business schools. If all things are equal, pick the school which best fits your academically/socially/financially. I would also check each schools business curriculum to see if there any major differences.

Does anyone know when pre-psychology decisions are supposed to come out? I’m not hopeful on getting bc of low GPA, index is less than 1000, but would still like to know if others have heard back already.

@dcdance98: Hint on how to search this thread. Use the magnifying glass on the top or bottom of this thread. Type in the key word: Psychology and then it will search all posts for the keyword. You can then check to see if there are any acceptances posted. I just did the search and see no acceptances posted yet. Give it another week.

If certain majors have been accepted already does that mean thats all that will be avlccepted for that particular one? @Gumbymom

@Whitelightninggq: I do not think all acceptances are out for any majors. I think admissions is going through their list and accepting from the highest EI’s down. I also noticed that many local in-service area applicants have heard, which means they are giving them priority. I have not seen any OOS acceptances with this wave and very few International applicants. I am sure there are more to come. You also have to remember, CC posters are a small group compared to the actual # of acceptances, so posters here do not accurately reflect the majority of acceptances that have been already sent out.

What are the odds any acceptances or decisions go out over this weekend, or will they pick up again starting on monday?

I spoke to admissions today. They made it sound like most acceptance notices have been sent out. They said there could be a few more next week.

I have no idea. I’m so nervous about getting in.

Would you guys know if I’ll be denied because I didn’t think to put in that I’ll finish one of the required classes in my supplemental application? I’m taking it now for my last semester here at CC.

I called but she said it was too late to change

@Gumbymom Thank you. Do you know the acceptance rate for the major Statistics by chance?

@elefish92: Last years acceptance rate for Stats was around 48% so good odds.

@Gumbymom where did you get that information about the 48% acceptance rate? Do you know what journalism was? Thank you so much for your help btw!
