Didn’t see one of these made yet, so please share any information about the SDSU wait-list process you have for this year and/or years prior. Any admissions off the wait-list please also post here. Lastly, if you have been wait-listed and just want to discuss it while you wait anxiously, I’m in the same boat so post here too. Good luck to all!

@Calllifornia Yes it would open up a spot for someone on the waitlist Just sad that there is an extensive waitlist. I assume you declined because you decided to go somewhere else? if so, congrats on your admission!!
@CSUADTHopeful Yes I decided to stay in Norcal(nearby CSU or a community college) And thanks! I hope you succeed at wherever you end up!
@Calllifornia Oh nice! Thanks for the well wishes I hope for nothing but the best for you as well!
If I am waitlisted for sdsu should I still send official transcripts for fall by May 1st? Or wait to find out if I get accepted?
@AnonymousCrash I don’t think you should send them, you are only supposed to send them along with your enroll deposit by May 1st to accept admission. Since we were not offered, we shouldn’t send it. At least that is what I took from the website, but you can always call and ask
@AnonymousCrash You don’t have to send them until they offer you admission. I was waitlisted as well but accepted admissions to another school. Good luck to everyone, I hope spots open up!

Does anyone know if there is anything that we can do to better our chances? As in, talking to the deans and head professors of the departments we’re applying for? I tried doing this last year with the associate professor of the school of art and design, and she said: “The final decision on your case at this point is in the hands of the Office of Admissions. I’m afraid that I can’t do anything for you until you are officially admitted into the University. I recommend that you follow up with them.”
Weak
@kevinlove as far as I know there is nothing you can do to better your chances, otherwise I think we would all try haha honestly SDSU considers in-area students first and foremost, after that it’s people with very high GPA’s like 3.6+…it’s one of the toughest CSU’s to get into. So we just have to be hopeful that students have been admitted and declined opens up a spot for us!
Does anyone know if we can call and find out what # we are on the waitlist? Or is it based on spaces open per major?
Has anyone heard back yet?
