Nice to know there are some decisions that have been posted. Thanks for the info.

NP. While she did not apply to SDSU, I think it’s safe to assume that like the also selective SJSU and Cal Poly SLO, decisions likely won’t be out until March. Good luck to all the SDSU applicants!

Historically SDSU has admitted some applicants in December and this has been going on for at least 10 years or more since I have been on CC. Maybe they are changing their decision timeline for this admission cycle especially since they are one of the top most applied CSU’s.

No decision from SDSU derails the process a bit for my D23. We knew December was not a guarantee, but we felt a good chance. We had a few contingencies tied to it. If it ends up a March decision, I think it probably won’t be a viable option for several reasons.

:frowning:

I think you are on to something, as a top CSU it makes sense to move their decision dates to be more in line with CPSLO and SJSU.

Not sure if this link will work once I post it (cc newbie), but they posted on IG on 12/16 that decisions will be out in “March 2023” - have they said that in previous years as well?

Yes, in the past few years they had stated decisions would be out in March.

Just chiming in to say hello, as a freshman parent of an OOS- D, that was fortunate to receive an early decision last year and is in Webers. If any one has any questions for me or my daughter, just reach out.
Hope you see some decisions soon! I remember the anticipation of stress.

Webers deadline is 2/15, is that later than in the past? If so maybe that is why they have not released early decisions yet as honors application is due later?

I believe the Webers Honors college Priority deadline was Feb 1 last year with the Final Deadline late February/Early March.

Someone posted on another site that their student got into SDSU. I believe the student was in state. So, maybe some acceptances have gone out…

has anyone else?

Someone said on the sdsu parents page that were no December acceptances this year. The university web portal has moved to a new system so earliest decisions will be March.

I saw that too. I honestly don’t believe them. They posted anonymously and someone said that counselors were told that they were not releasing early this year due to the amount of applications they received and would release in March when Cal Poly SLO releases.Which makes sense. They haven’t commented again.

Sometimes parents for ego purposes like to add/embelish their story without realizing that others may catch them.

I am in CA (in a very high achieving/ranking school district) and no one we know has heard from SDSU and EVERYONE applies to SDSU here.

Yes, I wondered if maybe the person posting got the school wrong. Seems weird that no one has heard but that one person. We are also in Ca and a ton of kids from this area have applied and I haven’t heard anyone say they have gotten in yet.

6 posts were split to a new thread: Cal State Acceptances Fall 2026

2 years ago my daughter was accepted Jan. 21st, with honors. So I’m not sure it’s always December. That year they extended the deadline to apply, as they did this year. Now waiting to hear with son.

I assume no news here? D23 has not heard anything.

Nothing here :frowning:

There weren’t any decisions in December and none expected until March, per admin on SDSU parents page.
