hey some questions about SDSU admissions, i am a junior who is on varsity lacrosse and baseball freshmen year with 60+ service hours...i have a 2.8 GPA and a 18 on my ACT
what are my chances of being accepted. i have only taken the ACT once so i think i'll be able to get it up to a 21

Are you being recruited? That definitely helps your chances.

SDSU has become increasingly more difficult to get into over the years; it now only has a 31% acceptance rate.

If you have no hooks (ie recruit), then I’d say its definitely a reach. The CollegeBoard give the middle 50% ACT scores as between a 20-25. Your 18 is in the bottom 25%, making your chances much more difficult. It also relays that only 11% of those attending got between a 2.5 and 2.99 GPA in high school.

I wish you the best of luck, but try to raise that ACT and keep improving your GPA!

thanks and i’ve talked to teh coach once…so i’m not sure if i would say recruiting and i should be able to get my ACT up to a 21 at least…well i guess i hope

You have a better chance if you live in the service area (near the school).
