Man, that sucks they did that to you sophiagm. I know all my transcripts are up to par because I’m transferring from another CSU and if I got admitted to one already I should get admitted to another CSU. The thing that worries me is finding classes on time. According to the transfer orientation section of the SFSU website, it states that we will be given priority registration once we schedule and pay for our orientation date. On that day we will then be able to register for up to 12 units. It also mentions to bring our unofficial transcripts with us, I’m assuming this is to show proof of any prerequisites for classes we sign up for at orientation. I’m just worried about finding classes because I’m thinking how are they possibly going to review everyone’s official transcripts before registration. It takes a while to get matriculated into their system. Also, the orientation section says the appointments can be made starting November 1st and after we accept admission. All the orientation days are going to be in December. Guess we will just have to wait and see. On another note, I called today again and they said to wait until the end of October to receive our admission package. I guess that sounds about right if orientation selection will be available on November 1st.

What is everyone’s major?
I’m in journalism

Computer Science

Hey everybody, I got my admissions package today. I’m in San Jose so SoCal people should be getting it sometime on or after Monday.

Congrats on getting your admissions packet in the mail. I am from SoCal so hopefully I will get mine sometime this week. Also has anyone applied for campus housing?

The preliminary housing app is available, the more detailed one (where you prefer to live and roommate selection) will be available on November third

Congrats irod! I’m conflicted about housing. Living in campus would be easy but I think I’m just gonna try to find roommates off campus. I’m 24 so I’m a bit older than most that would live in the dorms.

I have already applied for housing but have been considering living off campus. The only problem I have is that I don’t have a lot of time looking for room to rent especially since I am not familiar with the bay area. I figure I can live on campus for the spring semester , get to know the Bay Area ,and then find a room to rent off campus. Any good suggestions

I’ve been looking in the sunset/outer mission area, that’s where to cheaper rooms seem to be. If I get my job transferred up there I’ll be working off Powell so I’m just looking anywhere close to muni or bart. I am thinking it may be easy to do housing for one semester but I am super conflicted because I know I can find cheaper

Received addmissions offer in mail today
from SoCal. Plan on attending orientation
on dec 6.

I wonder why I haven’t received my admissions offer yet… I live 30 minutes away from San Francisco!

I got my letter too today. I am thinking of going to the school to take a tour in early november to be sure that’s where I want to go. Still waiting on a few more schools but SFSU is my first choice
