***san jose state 2022 admissions thread***

Did anyone get their decision yet?

I’ve been checking all day, mine is still on Decision Pending.

Has anyone heard yet? Seems like it’s taking longer for SJSU this year!!!

GPA: 3.8
ACT: 26
State: IL
Major: First choice is Pre-Nursing, second choice is Bio
Additional Info: A whole lot of clubs and sports
What’s going on?? My app still says Decision Pending and I’ve been checking since yesterday morning. I can’t wait any longer. :-SS Can the creator of this thread provide some answers?

@elefish92 do you know when the acceptances are coming out? Your original post said February 15.

GPA:3.61
in state
transfer
finish all requirements and have ACT with math
major: software engineering.

super nervous right now!!! still pending!!!

wait, it’s AST* my my mistake

I just called admissions at SJSU, because “Decision Pending” is really frustrating. I talked to a Admissions Rep. and told her about the February 15th release, and asked her when portals will be updated and she said “SJSU will not be posting any decisions until next month”… I’m kinda bummed and I don’t know what to think as all of the CSU’s are admitting right now…

A MONTH LATER THAN PREVIOUS YEARS… WOW

@lodiswim2018 next month!!! Wow! But…SFSU did tell us that also a while back and decisions were emailed out that night?!

I agree @lodiswim2018 as my D was accepted already by two other CSU’s, although they aren’t high on her list. She was waiting to tour campus housing at SJSU after she got in—hopefully this long Presidents holiday weekend—but now is focusing on the UC acceptances, which will roll out mid March. Plus, the stories about SJSU dorm room shortage seems like a red flag to me. WTH??

Oh my goodness…

Yeah, I got that source from College Board and it’s usually accurate. Two years ago I got my acceptance in late January, but most got results around Feb. 15. Last year the vast majority (like College Board said) was released on Feb. 15.

Sincere apologies to everyone, I tried my best to look for an accurate source as the SJSU admissions committee releases little to no information about the admissions process other than the eligibility index by major. The admissions committee (more like the administration) does not have the brightest reputation on our campus, especially with what they caused last year. SJSU is still a good school though and overall I love it here!

@elefish92 Do you have the list of the eligibility index for this year? If you do, please let us know!

It is on the website @sravya107

http://www.sjsu.edu/admissions/impaction/impactionresultsfreshmen/index.html

@Gumbymom that’s 2017’s, not 2018’s

@sravya107
2018 will not be calculated for some time (its still in progress) 2017 will be the best data to measure against

@sravy107: as stated above the 2018 data is not available till after admissions decisions are made for the in-coming Fall 2018 Freshman.

my EI is 4796 (4.12 CSU GPA & 1500 SAT). Last year’s 2017 computer science EI was 4500. Do I have a good shot at getting in this year?

@venm1337 in 2016 the CS cutoff was a bit higher (4550 IIRC). Given over-enrollment I’d expect it to go back up to at least that in 2018. I doubt it will go much higher than that, though, so I’d say you’re pretty safe.

Hey, everybody! I’m Ray.

• Result: Decision Pending
• Major: Forensic Biology
• CSU GPA: 4.5
• List of Honors, AP, IB, and other applicable “extra-point” courses: Biology/Chemistry Honors, Literature and Composition I/II Honors, AP Language and Composition, AP Literature and Composition, AP World History, AP U.S. History, AP Psychology
• SAT and/or ACT: 1350 SAT, 31 ACT
• Region: SoCal
• State: CA
• Additional information: SJSU is my top choice and all this waiting is making me anxious! Has it been confirmed the admissions notification won’t be coming out until March?

I wonder why they’re taking so long compared to the other CSUs.
