@vicky321 4.0 and u want to go to SJSU??? R u serious??

@CuriousMan everyone has their reasons. some people apply to have it as a safety school, some people apply due to financial constraints, the list can go on. nothing shocking about it.

What was your major?

@MrIndomie SJSU just released their Fall 2018 impaction results. It says the minimum GPA for computer engineering is 3.6 !!! I guess it’s just an error!!!

idk why I get accepted. Major: Computer engineering Gpa:3.5

Are the impaction results final? It says finance is 3.30 when it has never been above 2.9 in the past 7 years and last fall it was 2.0.

I read the 2018 impaction result yesterday and I saw the industrial design is 3.7. I totally got shocked! 2017 was 3.5 and 2015 was 3.0. Why they increase it so fast and high? all my friends got accepted yesterday, and I checked the application status this morning, it still showed Decision Pending.

One question, how do I know I get rejected?

Admitted today!!!
Civil Engineering- 3.52 Gpa

@Bryantb It seems this year’s impaction results have the fastest improvement in its history!!

@heyyo499 It is crazy this year!! Nursing 3.6 (it was 3.0 in 2017), Computer Engineering 3.6(the fastest growth in the history, 2.9 in 2017), Software Engineering from 3.00 to 3.3 and…

@Dn2512 Are you local? If u r from Santa Clara county, it makes sense to get accepted with GPA 3.5

@heyyo499 You will recieve an email from the school to check your sjsu web portal account. Your decision will be in your messages. I personally didn’t have a good gpa 2.92. I really messed up my grades at sdsu and was put on academic probation so had to go back to community college and that was as high as I could get my gpa before trying to transfer out again to another college. I believe I was accepted yesterday because I was set to transfer as part of the (Associates Degree for Transfer) program which most csu schools have. This gave me priority over most students and by transfering through th ADT I was given a .1 gpa bump on my application. So my transfer gpa was read as 3.02 by admissions. I got into SFSU and Sac State as well. Didn’t apply to any socal schools this time around so I can focus on school. Going to sdsu I had a hard time focusing on school because of all the extracurriculars, but thats just me. My major is kinesiology rehabilitation science. I plan to pursue becoming a physical therpaist.

@Minie20 Congrats, i heard SDSU is one of the best among CSUs.
@XxrubiksxX SJSU has a good kinesiology program.
@plsletmegraduate I chose SJSU just because of the financial problems and i regret it big time, UC’s tuition is just $6000/year more than CSU which worth every penny! Moreover, u can get financial aid since they r public schools!

@CuriousMan I don‘t know what can I do right now because my GPA only have 3.45. there has a big gap with the 2018 transfer impaction result. I think I will get rejected probably. my alternate major is econ, I hope they can admit me by this major.

@XxrubiksxX you are right, I think you can be accepted too. But I didn’t have Associate Degree for Transfer because they didn’t offer. So…
