Her major EI was 4000 as of 2015 so she clears that but of course has no idea what the current one will be. She was admitted to CSU-Fullerton in early December - not sure how impaction determines the chances for OOS students at the other CSU’s.

I’ve heard Feb. - I know someone who’s son was accepted in March last year - and then someone on another thread said his/her daughter was offered the opportunity for early acceptance in January - not sure what that’s about.
I’m thinking Feb. - Mar. for most of us but I really don’t know.
@Momto3 I had to look it up. D2 is an OOS applicant so I’m not sure if things are different for the CA residents. But the way it works is that it looks like D2 cleared the EI hurdle for her major based on her self-reported GPA (they already have her test scores). It’s known as an automated admit - self reported (freshman) and shows up as “Admit by Self Reported Data - F”. They can rescind if her final transcript doesn’t match up. Pretty sure this is how admissions are done in general as they really are provisional for the CSU’s unless they have your actual transcript. Exceptions can be made for Admit with Honors, I suppose.
At any rate D2 didn’t have any “To Do’s” as of yesterday so she’s probably admitted barring a contradictory final transcript (pretty consistent with any admitting college). But we’ll see what the admit letter says.
@Mamelot Thanks for the detailed information! I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what my D’s says when we get a change in status. I was surprised to see your post yesterday thinking that this years results would start around the same time as last year, which was around the 13th. This will be D’s first notification, so we’re waiting anxiously. BTW my D also applied for animation/illustration.
I have heard that the ADcoms will inform us of our admission status at the end of February according to the official SJSU.edu website. This can start anywhere from next weekend and end well into March.
ACCEPTED!
