<p>I have applied to SJSU for Fall 2015 (Computer Science). ACT scores have been sent. When do we hear the results? </p>

<p>I have a 3.3 (unweighted) GPA and a Math 31 and composite 27 ACT. what are my chances?

<p>It depends. CS is SJSU’s most competitive major. Your EI is 970 (Assuming you’re CSU GPA is 3.5), their cutoff last year was something like 1052, it could go either way for you. Good luck. </p>

<p>Here is the eligibility index thresholds for SJSU. Actually the threshold using ACT was 1080 last year. You need to calculate your CSU GPA, see link: </p>

<p>Then calculate your EI (CSU GPA x200) + (ACT composite x10)
The thresholds change each year depending upon the applicant pool and unfortunately, seem to increase.
You might want to consider Software Engineering since the EI threshold is lower at 805.</p>

I chose software engineering as an alternate major when i completed the form.
Also when are we likely to hear the results. I was told that the decision will roll out with a 2-3 weeks of applying. Is that true or will it be Feb before we get a decision. </p>

<p>Most Cal States start notifying around February. High Stat applicants can hear as early as Mid-Late to December for some campuses. My younger son heard early February last year for SJSU. </p>

Just got accepted today. 3.6 weighted GPA - SAT 1480 (780 Math 700 Writing) and 33 for ACT. 5 AP classes

10 AP Classes and 2 Honors
EI: 1056
In-state So Cal
Decided against applying for CS since EI last year was 1080. Glad I got in… Congrats to all

Yes for CS. After I applied I wish I would have done CI to be safe, but I had it as my secondary choice.

Cal Poly SLO is still my first choice but I don’t know if I’ll get in for CI. Knew I was too low for CS there.

BTW In state, Northern California.
