what is sansom west like as a dorm?

it's apartment-style living, sort of like the three high-rises, but cheaper and less recently renovated.

I'm living there next year and don't really know what it's like since I've never been there =X. However, the floorplans look pretty =D. Does anyone know if there are shared kitchens?

michaelJ, are you a transfer?

no, a lot of people i know got stuck with sansom west. I've just never been there cuz there's been no reason for me to visit

it's not really that pretty, but the glass-walled walkways between sections of the same floor are pretty nice; aside from that, it really ought to be renovated soon (inside the rooms is fine, but the hallways can be sorta dingy)

sansom place is pretty gross.

I live here now. I lactually live in Sansom East, but they moved us over to West for the summer so they could add a fire-sprinkler system. The buildings are disgusting. The rooms are gross. I can't believe with all of the money Penn brings in, they can't get these two buildings (East and West) renovated. They will make you gag inside. The ceilings have waters stains. The sinks and toliets/showers in the bathrooms have rust and mildew stains that cannot be removed with any amount of cleaner. I am NOT exaggerating here. They are really gross inside. They are over 30 years old and have NEVER been fixed up, so you can imagine what 35+ years of college students can do to a building.

and to think i was looking forward to living there... just a quick q, are there communal rooms / kitchens? any thing at sansom other than our rooms?
