I am sorry to interject, as this is not an inquiry regarding an Ivy or top LAC, so it may seem unimportant. However, if anyone knows anything about Santa Clara I would really appreciate an opinion. I visited last week, and I got more than I ever expected to get out of any college visit. It was a perfect fit, and if anyone could evaluate my chances I would be very grateful.
Here goes:
Applied early action
GPA: 3.25
SAT: 690, 690, 680
ECs: 1000 volunteer hours at a local camp, 3 years of ASB, Model UN leadership and award.
Great essay and recs.
I understand that this post will probably be overlooked, as it is pretty narrow. If anyone could help me out I would appreciate it.

Hey
Your stats look pretty good for Santa Clara in my opninon and probably heightened by EA. I can't really say as I am a high school senior but I do live in Santa Clara County so your stats match up with the people I've known that go there

Thanks. I am just a bit worried about my GPA. Are you considering going there?

Your GPA is a little low comapred to the average
but your SAT is higher
it balances out so u have a good shot
i visited SCU too but i didnt like the campus too much
i thought it was too small and there was really nothing to do off-campus
well anyways good luck

SCU's campus is beautiful...

Anyways, like sweetrasberry said, your GPA is a bit lower than their average, but your SATs, ECs (especially volunteering, since it is a Catholic school) should make up for it, especially since you're applying EA.

DD also applied there. 3.87 weighted GPA, class rank 8/194, and Math 650, CR 580, Writing 630. State ranked oboe/English horn player (not majoring in music but wants to continue playing in college). Also on swim team. She is keeping her fingers and toes crossed for an EA acceptance...it is her first choice.
