Chance me for Cal Poly SLO, Santa Clara University, UC Berkeley, Irvine, Davis- San Francisco State.

Anyone have any suggestions for places to apply?

Anyone? I'd appreciate it.

I don't know much about SFSU or Santa Clara, but here's what I think about the rest.

Cal Poly SLO - Slight-Mid Reach based on GPA. Hopefully some of the rest will make up for it, but it's hard to say. How's your GPA weighted?
UC Berkeley - Really sorry, but likely a reject! Again, the GPA. The recs won't cover that much, especially here.

Irvine and Davis are likely slight reaches as well.

The recs may only help if you have an extremely good excuse for the grades, it doesn't have to be cancer, but just not trying despite an upward trend isn't good.

Have you considered UCR or some of the other CSU's?

all CSUs = automatically in, because you have over a 3.0 GPA.

I think you're out of all the UCs except maybe UCR/UCM... UCs seem to really want people in top 10% of class, if you look at admissions stats 99% of berkeley is in top 10%, and the same pattern follows for irvine/davis/SD

Can't comment on others, but I bet you have a good chance at Santa Clara and SLO.

I'm sure you'll be happy where you go, though. Nothing wrong with a CSU, I've visited SFSU and it was really great!

P.S. Recs don't matter for UCs/CSUs, they don't even accept them or read them.
