For those of you who who applied early to Santa Clara University, did you receive a confirmation email that your application would be reviewed for early admission?

I received an e-mail shortly after submitting my application confirming that they had received it. It also gave me an account for the eCampus website which said that my application was completed. I haven’t heard anything from them besides that- still waiting anxiously for the letter!

accepted! weeeeeee i love scu

We are in Nor Cal. Son got accepted!!

Good luck!

No letter came today. I’m in San Diego. I wonder what time they will post the decisions online tomorrow?

We are in Southern California too and received no letter.

Congrats to those in NorCal who were admitted. Did you check ecampus and, if so, does it indicate your application status is admitted?

we are in Norcal and we did not receive letter today, nor has portal changed. Good luck to all!

Under application status it says “regular decision option.” Does that mean I was deferred?

Sdirish - I would assume so but you should call the school.

I also got the sad “regular decision option.” I am presuming that means deferred.

Sdirish and redsoxfan950, I got the same message. Yep, it means we are tossed back into the pool with the regular decision applicants. So the waiting continues…:/

“The sad” regular decision option in our house, too. Sounds like there are a lot of deferred EA candidates. Ah, well, congrats to those who got accepted.

More time now to fall in love with the schools who DO want you???

“regular decision option.” damn it

Sorry to hear about the deferrals. S got a couple from other schools too. I know exactly how it feels…

I think this year is especially tough at SCU since they started the ED option. They had to give out spots to ED and some to EA.

Good luck!!

Accepted from southern California.

GPA: 3.917
ACT: 29

Very excited. Not my top choice, but the school was pretty amazing.

I also got deferred. Worst Feeling in the World. The Santa Clara Counselor said it’s going to be hard to judge since they have 13,000 Regular Applications coming their way already. Good Luck to Everyone. Congrats to those who got in. My GPA was a 3.4 with a 1780 SAT but I have a friend who has a 3.5 with 1380/1600 SAT who did early action and also got deferred. They are definitely more competitive than past few years.

I was admitted to SCU for EA. My GPA is 3.8 and my SAT score is 1240/1930.

Deferred
I’m so unhappy about this because all of my top choice schools keep deferring me (rejected by my #1). I really though I had a great shot at getting in, but I guess I have to continue to wait.

My son was accepted according to the ecampus status. No letter in the mail yet and we live in Colorado.

3.85uw/3.98w GPA, 1390/2070 SAT superscore, lots of EC’s for those who want to know stats.

Good luck to all. I know it is hard to wait. I don’t know where Santa Clara stacks up on my son’s list yet since we haven’t seen scholarship and financial aid yet, but we hope to visit in the next couple of months.
