I’ve been eyeing on applying to Santa Clara as a safety-match, but I have yet to commit due to some doubt. (When you have to pay using money pulled straight from your account, it’s something that’s stressful.)
Anyways, I’ve been really attracted to the environment and culture of Santa Clara (and in general Cali), and more importantly, the location within Silicon Valley is really attractive for finding a job in the future. However, I haven’t really found how well engineers do after graduation in terms of job connections and salaries, etc. In addition, according to US News, Santa Clara’s engineering program is ranked #128, which is somewhat low compared to the vast majority of other schools (#1-#127).
I was wondering how successful past students, either still in or graduating, were in getting internships, or jobs outside of school, and how well the connections were, relative to the cost of attending. Specifics would help.
Thank you!
