I was accepted early action into Santa Clara, loyola Marymount, and fordham. I was accepted into the business schools at all 3 universities. I am struggling to narrow down my top choice. Can anyone provide advice on the differences between the schools, specifically in their business programs. Also just general comments on student life, the social life of students and any major pros/cons about the schools. I have visited all of the campuses. I live in the Midwest so it is a big change, but I am ready for a change of pace. Thank you!

One consideration you should always keep in the back of your mind is your post-graduation plans. If you want to like in the Bay area, Santa Clara will have the strongest reputation with employers. Same is true with Loyola Marymount and LA and Fordham and New York. It’s not impossible to go to other areas, of course, but each school gives you a leg up in their respective local area.

Fordham: Probably the best school out of the three. Has national recognition as a good school, beautiful campus and being in New York will give you major study, research and job opportunities.
LMU: Doesn’t have a great name brand, but it’s location in LA (not to mention weather!) gives you great research/internship opportunities.
Santa Clara: Middle of the pack in everything. Has better recognition than LMU but not as good as Fordham. It’s in a beautiful location but it’s not unlike the other schools, it’s location doesn’t give you as much of an opportunity for internships or jobs (San Francisco is the closest big city and it’s about 45 miles away).

All 3 are great schools and I’m sure you’ll find success wherever you choose!

Generally agree with Smithg1227, but disagree on the opportunities for internships/research/jobs at Santa Clara. It is located smack in the middle of Silicon Valley, surrounded by growing, major companies. Bountiful opportunities.

Good luck!

If you contact the admissions office of each school, ask to speak to business students who go there and ask them your questions. Ask about the cons as well as the pros. Ask them about internships inside and outside their region.

Where does cost figure into your calculations? There’s no sense paying a lot more at one school than another because business education is pretty similar across the country.

Money isn’t really an issue for me. Thanks that’s a great idea! @jkeil911‌

I think that you should go with Fordham I got accepted EA too! It seems like the best school in the lot. Chance back?

What about the social scene at each of the schools? How do those compare?

Fordham is a really good school, but it is in a rough area. My sibling got accepted and when we went to tour campus it was beautiful; a few steps off campus and you find yourself in a rough area. If i were to choose between the 3 I would choose LMU. Contrary to what Smithg1227 said, LMU has a great reputation, especially in LA, and they are particularly strong at securing internships for their students. But i would do more research, contact the schools and talk to them and ask questions, and then decide what school is best for you personally. And if they offer this, try to shadow a current student for a day at each school and really get a feel for what it’s like going to each, and get a perspective of a current student.

Thank you! @smartbutlazyy‌
If you want to get a job/live on the west coast I would go to SCU. The biz school has a strong alumni connections in california.
SC is the sportiest of the three if that matters.
