So I recently got into the college of arts and science at Santa Clara. I was wondering how hard or easy it would be to transfer to the business school and if it’s worth it.
@kangarooya - was told upon visit last spring ahead of application season that it is “very difficult” to transfer into the Leavey for a number of reasons.

first, and probably most importantly, is that you’ll be competing with other 1st year applicants next year (class of 2024) whose credentials will be even more competitive, and second that they will be considering your same credentials next year.
You could potentially “knock it out of the park” in terms of GPA your first year, but that will be blended with your application GPA.
It’s also important to know whether your transcript will have the requisite courses and whether you applied to Leavey first time around
Do you think maybe majoring in environmental science or another major and then minoring in entrepreneurship is a better idea? Or go to LMU which is my other option where I got in for entrepreneurship. Thanks for the response
What about economics in the college of arts and sciences
Many people I’ve spoken to have gone the economics route within CAS, but just don’t be disappointed as you won’t be able to take some of the more standard offerings through Leavey (accounting, finance, marketing, entrepreneurship, etc).
