Wait-Listed to the College of Arts & Sciences

GPA: UW 3.45 (my school doesn’t give weighted GPAs)
SAT: 1450 (superscore) Math: 760 English: 690

•I have attended community college full-time for my junior and senior years of high school and I will have technically graduated with enough college credit for an associates degree (but I applied to SCU as a Freshman applicant)
•I have taken a multitude of college classes (with all college students) including Calculus, linear algebra, Python programming, 2nd-year biology, microeconomics, & german
•advanced ballet dancer for over 10 years (won competitions, attended national summer intensives, chosen for annual performances, etc.)
•Founder/Director of the Dance Elective Program at a local middle school
•Paid part-time office manager for the summer at the same middle school
•Founder/Owner of sponsored blog with almost 3000 followers
•2 years of school choir
•participated in/worked at many high school events

Admittedly, I was very crushed when I didn’t get accepted to SCU. It definitely was not one of my reach/dream schools, but it was one that I could seriously see myself attending. Additionally it is the first school I heard back from. Looking back I probably could have spent a little more time on the writing supplement, but at the same time I cannot overthink the school’s decision. It may have to do with a LOT of people from my school/state applying. Maybe I will get lucky and be accepted off of the wait-list.

Congrats to everyone who was accepted, and good luck to the rest of you during the remainder of your college admissions process!
