FWIW, SCU sent out merit information on 12/16/2020 via email.

Was this for Presidential, Provost, Johnson, and Deans? I had read that non-Dean’s were included in acceptance letter last year.

My mistake! Certain scholarships were included in the acceptance letter. In our family’s case, the merit information came out a day later.

■■■?! Deferred?! SCU says they hope we submit ED2. I think they are playing the games that some colleges do—they want to see which EAs are really interested in their school. They should eliminate EA altogether if they are going to do this. My son’s application was solid, above their past admitted students’ data. Plus, he is an athlete, obviously wants to attend SCU. Even the coach listed his name under his sport so he could play at SCU.

May I ask his GPA? My son did not get accepted into CS for A&S. Did you son ED?

Accepted EA
3.9 UW GPA
SAT 1540 - 760 Math, 780 Verbal
IB Program
Computer Engineering internship
School of Engineering - Electrical and Computer Engineering Major

BS or BA? What was his GPA?

Engineering or A&S? What was his GPA?

To answer your question, my son was test optional, 3.8 GPA, some APs, very good essays and ECs. He applied ED.
