Hey everyone!
With the deadline to apply as a transfer to SCU ending soon, I thought I’d make a thread for those that are transferring.
Feel free to post questions or your admission status as they come in!
Good luck!
Hey everyone!

Hello! I applied in early February for transfer, and I am anxiously waiting for my decision. I know the decision are meant to be rolling- but its been about two months since I applied. Does anyone have any insight as to when decisions usually begin being released?
My stats are
HS GPA: 3.95 weighted
College GPA: 3.91 unweighted
ACT: 29 (31 superscore)
Program I applied to: Arts and Sciences, Public Health major
Extracurriculars: editor for college newspaper, member of political club on campus, 100+ hours of community service, four-year varsity athlete in high school
Good luck to all who applied!
@emilycollege Your stats are great! I am a transfer student to SCU this year and have loved my time so far. Your chances are very good at getting in, and I would guess that you should be hearing back soon. Two months is about average from what I have heard from our transfer class this year! Keep us all posted.
I recieved my admissions letter in the mail this morning, but no email from SCU to let me know that my portal status had been updated. So keep an eye on the portal too!
I applied February 28th.
Admitted as a physics major. 3.9 GPA at my current community college. 3.5 GPA at UC Davis before that. Applied and admitted as a high school senior if demonstrated interest counts. Not a ton of extra curricular - I ran on the community college Track and cross country teams and have had a few sporadic food service jobs over the years.
And I have about 90 units in college, so I don’t believe my high school stats had a huge influence but I had a 33 ACT and a 4.0 GPA (W) at the end of senior year I think?
I applied into arts and sciences mid march as a transfer. Finally got the ecampus login page error just today (so almost a month later)
Just a heads up incase any other transfers are also anxiously waiting their decisions
I received a decision today (1 month after applying - it also showed up the day after my portal displayed the login error)
@Mangorind86 Were you accepted? Also if you don’t mind me asking what are your stats?
@lb99352 yes, i was accepted
3.66 GPA transfer
Most prereqs completed but not all
E.C.’s:
HS football 4 years
Community service with church 2 yrs
Veteran Awards/achievements
Scholarship Award I won last year
I’d like to say my essays and academic evaluations were solid too, but idk how they compare to others so who knows. I had a 3.1GPA in 2012 before the military and have held a 4.0 since. I honestly think my veteran status and essay carried my decision tbh
my login page showed an error on friday, so i suppose my decision will be out on monday. would you mind explaining what the portal looked like when your decision was available? did it still say “active application”? was there something you had to click on?
@emilycollege it said something along the lines of “login error unable to process request”
or something that had the word error/failure, I don’t remember the exact words but it was a boxed popup
@remytreat If you don’t mind me asking, why did you transfer from UC Davis? I got into SCU and UC Davis and if I don’t get into my top choice (UCB) I’m thinking of going to UC Davis because I can’t quite afford SCU. Even with a grant it’s still a $14.5 thousand difference and I can’t fathom the idea that I saved myself 2 years of debt by going to a CC and then to go ahead and pay private school tuition if I can cut the price in half. So if you could contribute your thoughts on why UCD wasn’t a good fit for you that might help me decide if the cost of SCU is worth it. Thanks in advance!
Also, are there any business majors on here?
I’m a business major. I still haven’t heard back, and I applied almost 2 months ago.
@Ib99352 I know they’re doing rolling admissions so hopefully you’ll hear back soon!
@lb99352 I was accepted in less than two weeks after applying to College of Arts & Sciences. Perhaps there is a longer wait for the business school since it is very competitive. Good luck!
Hopefully! I applied early in hopes that I would hear back earlier, but you’re right I think it’s because the business school is super competitive
Did you apply from a cc or 4 year university?
Anyone who’s been accepted yet receive their financial aid package yet? @chemlover22, @remytreat ?
I’ve gotten my transfer credits applied, but no news on financial aid yet
@lb99352 i applied from a CC
