I am looking for a small and personal College setting with extremely strong academics (partiuarly in writing and literature) and great people. I want an education that will prepare me for both a career in whatever I choose and the rest of my life. Talented and qualified professors are also a must. Does Sarah Lawrence seem like a nice fit for me?

In another post, you say your top choices are Bowdoin, Williams, Middlebury and Bates. While those four colleges have quite a bit in common, their campus culture seems radically different from that at Sarah Lawrence. SLC has the academics you seek, but obviously there are intangibles that you can only judge by visiting. This forum is more or less dead, by the way, so unfortunately I wouldn’t hold out for too many responses here. Best of luck.

Sarah Lawrence College has a different “feel” to it than do other schools. As Samuck stated, a visit is best, and this forum is unfortunately dead. :/
