Many people close to me have recommended that I look into Sarah Lawrence. Their website looks amazing, but I am still uncertain. Does it fit my criteria of extremely strong academics? Would I be able to get into a top graduate program from there? Does the school have a good reputation?

Easy yes on academics, grad admission, and reputation. I’d personally have no reservations about it at all.

How are the professors?

Good question for the Sarah Lawrence forum:

Sarah Lawrence College is really more of a specialty school. If you look at its course catalog:

[Undergraduate Catalogue](<a href=“Disciplines and Programs of Study | Sarah Lawrence College”>Disciplines and Programs of Study | Sarah Lawrence College)

You will see that the subjects which have a good breadth and depth of courses are:

Dance
History
Literature
Music
Psychology
Theater
Visual Arts
Writing

There are also groupings of courses in other departments for:

Africana Studies
Design Studies
Environmental Studies
Ethnic and Diasporic Studies
International Studies

Other subjects (including all sciences, social studies other than history and psychology, humanities other than history, literature, writing, arts, and music, and foreign languages and literature) are only offered at the level that students in other subjects seeking breadth would take.
