Sarah Lawrence College

I am a high school senior from California and have some questions about Sarah Lawrence College.

Is it true that if you apply for any of the Early Decision deadlines, you have a decreased likelihood for Financial Aid?

Would an interview strengthen your chance to get in?

How heavily do you the admissions team look at your GPA? I have a 3.1 Cumulative, but instead of improving my education through school, I delved myself into novels, art and literature. I have over 300 hours of community service, and have worked since my Junior Year. I have strong letters of recommendation and a very unique analytical essay. I also plan on giving an art supplement.

I have some experience with SLC, but not an expert on their admissions. Financial aid is based mostly on need, so applying early shouldn’t hurt. An interview is more about helping you understand the school better, rather that helping you get in. But it doesn’t hurt to give them some context. Your GPA is lower than their average, but they are one of the schools who really looks at talents that aren’t reflected in your grades. Good luck!
