Does anyone know if a first-year undergrad is required to live on campus at either of these places? I would like to live off-campus my first year, if it's allowed. If not, I would prefer to not have a roommate, but I think some places require that you live on campus your first year AND have a roommate. Can someone let me know?

Hey Darkbay! Sarah Lawrence does not require you to live on campus, if you actually did wind up applying there you probably saw in the common app that you could choose whether or not you were going to be living on campus. As for Vassar, it is required, and from everything I’ve researched, a roommate is not an option (at least in your first year!)
Sorry I’m answering so late.
Best of luck with your colleges!
