<p>I'm still kinda in the clouds about this one, but what is it that is so "unusual" about SLC? I've heard it a couple times before, and I still don't understand.... Any help would be very much appreciated :)</p>

<p>I'm pretty sure they never have tests, so that's pretty unusual. Also, they get to chose their teachers. INstead of being assigned one, they interview different teachers in a section (I think this is true) to get a feel for their educational philosophy etc., and then request certain teachers.</p>
