Sarah Palin is awesome

She isn't full of bullplop and she actually SPEAKS HER MIND. Who cares what may or may not be on her mind, at least she speaks it. If McCain gets into office, it will definitely be because of her. And that's just lol. lol.

Her straightforwardness is particularly apparent when you look at who else is running. People nowadays must be turning into horrific judges of character because it's incredibly clear how full of crap Obama is and I'm apparently the only one who notices. The man is as slick and as smooth talking as they come. A born and bred politician if there ever was one. Relying on partisan politics to get into office when the country has never been more divided, and doing it only because it's a proven tactic when the unpopular incumbent is from the opposing party. Can you find no other way to beat a 70 year old who doesn't even look like he wants the job, Obama? Fail.

Have you seen the recent ABC interview? Straightforward is not the first word that comes to mind.

Yup, yup
Obama "above my paygrade" can't compare
Biden speaks his mind too though like Palin, the only problem is that the stuff that comes out are dumb.

Palin appointed somebody who wants victims pay for their own rape kits. Not my idea of awesome.

Amanda Carpenter :: Townhall.com :: The Palin Rape Kit Myth
Geez, do some independent research won't you.

It was just one example I used of why she's not awesome.

Btw, check your sources before you post them. The author of that is a far right wing author. I did my independent research, and I check my authors.

Alaska pols: Wasilla charged victims for rape kits - BostonHerald.com

You are ridiculous. Their political views do not matter as to how thorough their research is. Unless they have a history of writing stupid stuff like Michael Moore, what's it matter if they like McCain over Obama? If there is something you dispute in Carpenter's story, do so.

^ Actually she does have a history of that. Look her up.

the criminal should be held responsible for the costs
How the eff is there a CRIMINAL when the woman hasn't even had a RAPE KIT completed yet? We're talking 1-3 days after the potential attack!

Additionally, look at what ELSE was said:
In the past we've charged the cost of exams to the victims' insurance company when possible
But I thought you expected the criminal to pay for it?

Obviously, at least initially, the woman IS responsible. Or, her insurance company is, which is great in the event that she HAS insurance and does NOT have a deductible.

I assume the plan was that once the person was found guilty THEN the criminal is to pay for it--well until then, who's going to? And if the criminal STILL doesn't pay for it, then what?

If the man who did it (or allegedly did it) CANNOT be identified, THEN who pays for it?

So the woman stuck with the bill UNTIL there is a guilty charge?

Wasilla was the only town in Alaska to implement this policy.

And, look closely at what her police chief said:
I just don't want to see any more burden on the taxpayer
There you go: the MOTIVE behind the policy.

Sick.

She is very beautiful.

Wait..."what exactly is it that the VP does?"

"She is very beautiful."

Whether or not someone agrees or disagrees with this, how is it relevant?

I think John McCain is unattractive. I don't consider Barack Obama to be particularly good-looking. I find Joe Biden somewhat attractive, for an older guy. If I were Tina Fey I'd appear on SNL tomorrow.

All of those are personal opinions about looks that are immaterial to the matter at hand--who is best qualified to run this country.

Plenty of women voted for Clinton because he was attractive...I didn't see the Dems giving those votes back.

^^^ If someone votes for Palin because they think she is "hot", they are well within their rights. That doesn't make it right. Votes can't be "given back" by any party.

Honestly, I think all politicians are full of crap. What scares me the most is her lack of experience, and of course, her slimy, lying running mate.

Palin is Awesome? Hardly.

"I was just your average hockey mom. I love those hockey moms, you know, they say, what is the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull? Lipstick." -Sarah Palin

As you can see, I have to live in this place called Orange County, and when you live in the "OC," you KNOW soccer mom. When I think of soccer mom I think of groupthink, paranoia, vapid speech, gossip, fanatic, decay, stubbornness, etc. I wouldn't want the average soccer mom to be president of the local book club. Although there is youth hockey down here, I can't say a hockey mom is equivalent to a soccer mom, but I am guessing the only difference might be that a hockey mom is more aggressive, and hence the relation to pit bulls.

I have also spent a good amount of time with family in rural America, and I KNOW what a pit bull is, and perhaps more importantly, the type of bit bull Palin is referring to.

In the country they are aggressive and violent dogs usually tied to a stake, or confined to an enclosed area, and used predominantly to scare predators like possums.

Pit bulls in the suburbs are still violent and unsociable creatures, and the mainstay of tough guy wannabe's and gang bangers.

I think few of us want someone described as a "pit bull" representing the nation.

After watching this little show called Weeds I have a gut reaction to vote against suburban mayors and moms whenever possible.

She's just the VP candidate. If McCain actually won, he'd pat her on the butt, and tell her to go climb into a hole somewhere until, god forbid, his number came up and she became president. Oh, and he'd trot her out to fire up the far right-wing base once in awhile.

The big deal about Palin is that she's such a novelty. That novelty will die off soon. Meanwhile, she's shown that she's willing to tell lies to get into office. Nothing very new there...McCain's right there with her.

Congratulations. We have a winner for most naive (and uninformed) post of the week. Let's wait for the vice presidential debate and see who appears dumb. Assuming that she actually attempts to address the issues, Biden will own Palin.
