Palin got pregnant before marriage just like her daughter. Is this the type of judgement we need during a financial crisis and two wars? I dont think so. Harvard Law Obama is the safe choice.

The same judgement that was against the surge, ie WRONG on Iraq?

Or how about your VP pick, whose judgement allowed him to plagiarize a LIFE STORY when he was running for President several years ago?

Also, Obama's mom was pregnant with him when she was 17 as well. It's not the end of the world.

^The difference though is that the democrats don't make a big stink out of premarital sex the way republicans do. So it's not hypocritical for Obama, but it is for Palin/McCain. And that's what gets people riled up, not the pregnancy, but the hypocrisy.

McCain had eight years to prove he had better judgement than Bush and has failed the courage test every chance he had. He will do anything to win this election even if it is bad for the country.

Joe Biden forgot to attribute a quote to a British politician during just ONE of his speeches. He had always quoted that politician every time before that. It got blown out of proportion.

Funny. I doubt conservatives would be so understanding if Obama's teenage daughter got pregnant. "Welfare queen!" they'd ignorantly scream.

FINEMAN: Well, in defense of Alaska, I will say, there's a lot of night up there, and I know from spending a fair amount of time up there that everybody goes to tanning beds all the time. But not everybody has one in their own home. So It's not quite as crazy as it sounds, you could argue that she could go, like everybody else to the strip mall to the tanning bed.

I think they're somewhere up in the thousands. I don't know. I really don't care whether or not she has a tanning bed in her house or not. It's just another issue that the media blew up. It's funny. Especially since I hate tans.

I just think that people are going a little crazy over her. Opponents continue to find out all her faults, and supporters spend all their time defending her and calling everyone sexist.

It's completely distracting us from the real issues that we should be worrying about, like our failing economy that McCain called fundamentally strong.

It was blatant plagiarism, Joe Biden flat out lying about his background, saying that he and his wife were the first in a thousand generations to go to college (blatantly not true). Not the only time also; Biden was also busted for plagiarism in law school.

His campaign "coopted" many of Hillary's policies...

His "new" proposal for a national infrastructure bank is one that Hillary proposed August 8, 2007. ["I'm proud to co-sponsor Senator Dodd and Senator Hagel's National Infrastructure Bank Act that we just introduced to establish a federally-backed independent bank that will evaluate and finance large infrastructure projects by subsidies, loan guarantees, and bonds backed by the full faith and credit of the United States." Rebuilding America speech, 8/8/07; S. 1926, 8/1/07]

His "new" proposal to create 5 million green collar jobs was proposed by Hillary on November 5, 2007. ["And three, to move us from a carbon-based economy to an efficient, green economy by unleashing a wave of private-sector innovation in clean energy and energy efficiency. I believe that will create at least five million good new jobs from clean energy over the next decade." Energy and Climate speech, 11/5/07]

Google CEO Eric Schmidt praises Hillary's plan to create 5 million Green Collar jobs, 11/5/07: "By emphasizing the connection between promoting a green efficient economy and job creation, Senator Clinton's plan seeks to harness the power of technology and innovation to address one of our most pressing global challenges...The goal of producing 5 million new jobs can be achieved by private sector investment and bipartisan support for increased research and development in efficiency and clean energy."

Ridiculous. I have a tanning bed. Altogether, transportation/installation, bulbs, everything: maybe $1300. Another wildly exaggerated story. What's next, witchcraft. Oh yeah, they are doing that one right now.

The tanning bed is a little ridiculous. I was just trying to bring the attention back to Palin, and her Alaskan state that she can see Russia from.

But just because I have to...
It's impossible to say that McCain is honest. He is no better than any other politician. He has taken statements that are 100% false, presented them to the public, and stood by them even after they have been proven wrong.

I like Sarah Palin because she thinks the soldiers in Iraq are on God's mission. I doubt she really knows what missions God is working on at the moment, but it means she believes in God. I'm not sure what God, exactly, either, but I assume it isn't Allah. I have to think it's the father of the Jesus depicted in all those pictures hanging in churches all over--the Jesus with the nordic bone structure but real tan with 60s hair. If she believes in that God, it's good, because it means she believes in kindness and doing what's right and in being good looking in an anglo kind of way. That means what we are doing in Iraq is the right thing, even though most of the rest of the world just doesn't get it.

Sure, she says things that make me have to sit down and put my head between my knees at the thought of having her as my president. But she's at least not a liberal who wants to take a bunch of things away from me and give them to lazy durg addicts and homosexuals.
