Hey I’m planning on applying to bu this fall and was wondering if anyone knows if Sargent College is more selective than any of the other schools and colleges within bu, especially CAS
Given it’s smaller size, I would say it is more selective than CAS. But, it’s still a great college within BU nonetheless
Keep in mind that if a school has a higher admission standard internal transfer after being accepted to another school will be very difficult if not impossible.
@TomSrOfBoston not true at all. I was accepted to CAS, but I emailed the admissions office a few weeks later asking to be transferred to Sargent and I was transferred without a problem.
Also people transfer among some schools all of the time. For instance, if you are in CAS but want to transfer to SED, successful completion of SED101 will allow you to transfer. Same goes for most of the schools, you have to take one or two of the basic prereqs, and after you can transfer no problem.
