Sargent College

BU is one of my top choices but I am worried I wont get in… I have already gotten into UConn, Case Western, Penn State and a few other schools. I applied to Sargent College of Health as a health science major and I am wondering if anyone knows how hard it is to get into. Is it easier or harder to get into than the other colleges at BU?

Here are my stats:
ACT score: 30
Weighted GPA: about 3.6 (my school weights GPAs weird)
AP classes taken: AP US History, AP Art History, AP Psychology, AP Statistics, AP Biology

 • I also am taking an honors english class and 4 years of spanish
 • I am one of the yearbook editors
 • Swimming and Softball
 • A bunch of other clubs/school activities
 • I have around 400 hours of volunteer work and a letter of recommendation written from one of the organizations I volunteer for (JDRF- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) I have raised $20,000 and I am the most involved teenager in my local JDRF chapter so the letter talks about that
 • I also have type 1 Diabetes (I have heard that it does help you get into schools sometimes and my essay has to do with living with diabetes and it shows how motivated I am)
 • I also go to a very good public school in CT.
 • Class Rank: top 25%

Another Type 1 Diabetic here applying to Sargent, too. I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks you too! Do you know how hard Sargent is to get into? From what I’ve heard it seems to be the hardest college at BU :frowning: I’m scared I wont get in! The one thing that gives me hope is I applied to probably the easiest major within the school (health science)… but besides that I’m not so sure I’ll get in.

BU has a 50% percent acceptance rate so it shouldn’t be too bad. your stats arent horrible either. every school generally has the same admissions standards so no one school should be harder to get into than the other, in theory. best of luck!
