SAS vs SEBS pre-med

Hey guys! I need help. I'm having a hard time deciding between which school to enroll in for pre-med. Any insight ? Also does anyone know if the admitted students day is mandatory?

Either school is equally competitive in preparing you for medical school. In fact, you can major in anything you want (English, History, Psychology) and still apply to medical school, as long as you have taken the required courses. All of our pre-med assistance occurs through our health professions office ([index.gif](<a href=“Error Page”>http://hpo.rutgers.edu/)). You should enroll in a school based on where your interests lie. If your interest in science is specifically related to environmental issues, then you may want to look into SEBS. If you are interested in science as it relates more to humans and the human body, you may want to look into SAS. Keep in mind that once you get here, you can decide to change schools if you don’t initially make the “right” decision. Medical school admission has more to do with you as a candidate than whether you attended SAS or SEBS (both grant Rutgers degrees). Keep your grades up, get involved in research, schedule appointments with advisors at the health professions office, and make good connections with your faculty here.
