<p>It takes 15 workers (24/18) = 1.333 days to paint a single house, so a single worker would take (15)(1.333) = 20 days to paint a single house.
One worker would take (22)(20) days to paint 22 houses.
40 workers could do it in (22)(20)/40 = 11 days.</p>
