SAT: 1100, GPA:3.6, my chances at these schools??

Hey, this isn't snowskii99, she introduced me in her last thread, I'm her friend. No one answered my question though on her post over Ivy's lol, and so I am going to post my own.

GPA: 3.6
Rank: 200ish/500ish
SAT: 1100
Senior Classes:
Honors English IV
Honors US Government
AP Chemistry II
Pre Calculus
Internship II (hospital, OR)
Journalisim II

EC's
Newspaper (11,12)
Hospital Voulnteer (11,12)
Soccer (9,10,11,12)
Volleyball (10,11,12)
Figure Skating (9,10)

I have an intrest in becoming an anesthesciologist, or journalist. My college choices:
College of Charleston
Clemson
UGA
UConn
UMass
UNC (not sure which campus yet.)

What do you think?? Suggestions??

If you apply to UNC- CH you have a very slim chance of getting in . . UConn will be a match if you are instate- out of state it will be a reach. . I'm not too sure about your other choices. Good luck.

Thanks! Anyone else got an idea??

b u m p ! b u m p !

Why UMass- not worth it for out of state. Northeastern is better- good student satisfaction ratings.

How about cofc and clemson??

hey hi. CofC isn't that hard to get into, but clemson can be tough with your stats if your not instate. BTW i live at clemson (not the university. The CITY) I will never go to clemson u.

Where are you from? In/Out of state matters for these public schools!

Im in state.

In-state? You are applying to public schools in several states.

I thought we were talking of Clemson and CofC. Well, I'm in state to SC.

I'm in SC too. I don't really know what the average SAT score for either school is. You might wanna check out USC columbia, or another campus of USC!?.

UCONN and UMASS id give you an 85% chance. CofC I'd give you a 65% chance. Clemson and UGA I'd give you a 50% chance. UNC-Greenville, Asheville and Charlotte I'd give you a 90% chance. UNC-Chapel Hill=nope.

I mean, I have a 2.85 (in all AP/IB courses though, with an upward trend) and a 1380 on the SAT and princetonreview.com marks UCONN and UMass as safeties for me.

---so youre set

I think princetonreview, doesn't know what they are talking about. Snowski, why don't you look at privates like Boston University?

I don't think the counselor-o-matic crap is accurate at all...

Snowskii99, I think your class rank and SAT score will really hurt you for UConn, UMass, UGA, and UNC-CH since they are all pretty selective for out of state students. I think you can get into Clemson and CofC since your class schedule is pretty stacked with honors and AP's and your are in-state. Good luck with all of your schools though!

As DreamsofYale said, what is your intended major if any? USC-Columbia might be a better choice for some and Clemson might be better for others.

Yeah, I wouldn't even try UNC...especially Chapel Hill...they're one of the hardest schools to get in to out of state. I hear they're worse than UVA, and UVAs really bad on out-of-staters
