SAT 1460 for intl. student. worth retaking?

firstly, i’d like to apologise for another one of these threads!

i just got 740M/720V for my first sitting of the SAT I. the maths score is a little disappointing but oh well. I haven’t taken SAT IIs yet but hopefully expect 750-800 on all three.

As an international student i was wondering whether i should retake my SAT I in december, i’ll aim for around 1530 this time.

If all other parts of my application are excellent (straight As, extra-curricular, teachers eval, etc) then will a uni like Harvard be likely to ‘look down’ upon my 1400s SAT score?

thanks for your time.

no need to. Both verbal and math are above 700, that's good enough

You should definitely try to raise your score. If you are going for RD, december score will be counted. And Also most ppl take 2-3 times SAT1. Unless you have a 1600 or close to it first time out, taking it again can only help. Don't last poster pulled your legs saying "that's good enough".

because that is good enough.
700+ is all you need, instead spend more time on your essays

arh. mixed views. well, guess i have to decide today since its the last day for registration. mhm..... oh, but thx for replying anyway!

Yes, som is trying to raise similar score for a real chance in Harvard.
