SAT: 1900iosh -> 2000+ (helpppp)

okay hi all.

i just took a barron SAT (over sessions, but i did this sort of mixed)
i got a 650 on all three CR, Math, writing) and this is an improvement from my previous score: 560 CR, 650Math, 610 Writing :0

i was just wondering 1) is barron's an accurate estimation.. i know its always a +/- 30 points for whichever practice test you take, but im just wondering.
Im going to start using the College Board Prep Book, after i review barron's test :)

also since the SAT is next week, do you think its possible for me raise my score higher? from the 1830 i had to the 1950 right now to about 2000+???

PS: i know one practice test doesn't make a significant difference, i know that more than 2 would determine the range.. (and thats what im planning to see using the college board exam :))

Barron’s is not as accurate as the Official SAT Study Guide (Blue Book) is. I would suggest to only study the Blue Book since its exams are made by collegeboard and it has three previously administered official SAT tests in it. It is possible to raise your 1950 to a 2000+ within a week.

I agree, using the Barrons book is a waste of time. It is does not reflect the type of questions the Blue Book asks. Thus, the patterns you see in the Barrons book may not appear in official tests. Stick with Blue Book tests to improve and find new strategies and patterns to get a high score.
Now I didn’t do it in a week. It was more like 1-2 weeks. But I improved from 1820 to 2000. Hopefully I can break 2000 this Saturday. Good luck to you! :)

thanks both!
and esthetique yeah i started to study three weeks ago… but that was mainly reading what silverturtle had said and Xiggi’s method… i started doing practice tests last week, just from barrons and their special focus on CR section…
but yeah today or tomorrow im going to be starting hte CC Blue Book! wish me luck and good luck to you :)
