SAT 2 Chem Discussion May 2 2009

Well the solution is going to be basic, so phenolphthalein turns it pink
NaCl is the salt formed, but its soluble (yay salt!), so it remains aqueous

Whoops, nevermind.

Luminouzz, there were two questions about a gas being produced. One asked specifically about hydrogen gas (which is the one you speak of) and the other just showed reactions and asked which one produced a gas when reacted

^Blarg o-o. I don’t even remember that second one about gases…I hope I didn’t skip it by accident or something.

Lmao, you probably got it right. We all have a tendency to fixate on the stuff we got wrong/weren’t sure about, so if you don’t remember it, it’s more than likely a good thing

[Complex Ions](<a href=“College of Charleston | Page Not Found”>College of Charleston | Page Not Found)
that tells us that the ammonia reaction is the one as it forms a SOLUBLE nh4cl so its baso4 is wrong

hydroxideion: damn, how do you know all this? guaranteed 800 for you man.

LOL rewind ur the one who gave me that link hahaha ur the tru beast

Haha, damn. Was unfamiliar with the definition of a complex ion.

so what do you think the curve will be?
how many could i get wrong/blank max to get 800?

Dunno, right now I have 5 wrong/0 blank…but I’m pretty sure I missed more questions.

I’m a sophomore in chem AP and I thought this particular test was pretty tricky. The practice test I took was alot easier.

right now im at 2 wrong 2 blank :[
probably made a few dumb mistakes
ugh i really want 800

agree w/ lumionouzz im a soph in chem honors. To prep i just took 13 p tests lol one a day. Didn’t erally study cuz the ptests were pretty striaght forward even for barrons and mcgrawhill but this test was on another level. So far im minus 3 zero blank

so can someone make a post with all the CONFIRMED answers all together?

neone got any more questions? were the last three answers c

confirmed answers so far**

oh there was that question with hess’s law
gave the two equations asked for the net
whatd u guys get?

^hydroxideion, if you could tell me what the last 3 questions were, I could probably tell you what I got for my answer…lol

I don’t remember letters.

Hess’s law question: I’m pretty sure you added it up as written. The reactions were already in the right direction.

I don’t remember what the answer was, but i just added the two numbers. There wasn’t anything special that needed to be done. Oh, wait, I do remember! -35, it was

yea it was definitely -35
