SAT 2 Chem: PR or Barrons?

I took honors chem a few years ago. I heard Barrons teaches a bit of unnecessary info, but at the same time I feel like it might be a good thing for me to know more rather less of what I need to? I heard PR is pretty good, but with my experience with PR, I feel like a good score is attainable, yet a perfect score is pushing it. If I want to get an 800 and I have like 2 months to study, which book should I use?

Thanks!

I thought the Barrons book was much much better than the PR book. The PR practice tests are more accurate than Barrons though.

The practice tests in the barrons book aptly prepared me for the actual test. However, according to the score conversion chart in the barrons book, 75-85 (-10) raw is an 800. According to some of the posts on CC I have read on recent weeks, -4 is the lower limit for an 800. Can anyone clarify this?

I’d say just buy both of them…
Barron’s does have some extra material not there in PR, while the guys at PR do really understand the SAT.
If you’re going for a one shot, it would not harm you to buy both…

PR = very concise & to the point. Practice tests = great.
I had Barrons but it read like a textbook and it was too painful. Barrons = falling asleep.

Okay now im confused! I have to buy these books soon.
Should i buy PR or Barrons? Or both?

And i think i’m giving it only once.
