@pursuingcollege I am thinking of canceling my scores. I ended up skipping 6 and I’m pretty sure there were at least 2 that I got wrong.
@junebuggie why? you can still get a 790 with the 6 missed and 2 wrong?
@lolokcollege I’m just extremely worried because I didn’t get to check and I don’t think I want a bad score on my record
If I do all the tests in Chungs and get 800s or close, will I get an 800 on the real thing?
@riceeater I got a few 800s on Chung’s, but my score range was 760-800. On the real test, I scored a 770. It’s pretty accurate, but things happen.
Hey guys- so i had one week to study for this because i signed up last minute, and I ended up being unprepared and leaving 12 blank total, mostly the ones at the end. I think I did pretty well on the ones in the beginning though. Is it worth it to cancel my scores and try again in November or December, or keep my scores?
@Missimperfect if your schools don’t have score choice, then cancel.
What do you guys think will be the lowest raw score range to get an 800? 43, 44?
Guys, do you remember the question that was like “which has 3 distinct roots”. I listed (X^2+4) (X-2) as the answer since technically an imaginary root is still a root, and distinct. It’s just not “real”.
Hey guys what would omit 3 missed 3-4 look like? Aiming for 800 like everyone else haha
@lunaticb12aa it’s a i’d say… maybe 800. It’s on the edge though. Anyways, could you read my post above yours? Do you remember anything resembling that?
@asiankid88 I thought it said real roots. I graphed all of them, and I’m pretty sure it was the last answer choice. Not sure it was the one you gave
@asiankid88 definitely what Tiao Cruz said. Choice E
What is the max amount of times you should take this test? Like 2 or 3?
@Missimperfect I don’t think it is a good idea to take any SAT test more than 3 times. Beyond that, take it as many times as you want (obviously the less times the better).
-So if I improve and get straight 800s (1-2 wrong at most) on 5 DR. Chung’s Tests, will I get an 800 on the real thing?
-Also some are saying Chung’s is way harder and @basedchem said that Chung’s is easier than the real test – who do I trust?
Please help me out, I need an 800 on this test no matter what.
@taiocruz i believe it didn’t say real roots, as i used my polynomial solver on my calculator to find the roots, and when it saw an imaginary number i went back to check if it said real roots or not, and it didn’t. Anyways, i believe answer D or E had a (x-2)^2 at the end while E was something like (X^2-4x+4) (X-2) ?
Hi all,
I studied with the barron’s book and did 6 practice tests on Chung’s book and left 8 blank on the real test. I’m planning to take it again but I used all the barron’s practice and these two books didn’t work for me at all. Anyone has advice on another study method?
For the problem with y = cos(2x) + cos(x), isn’t it 3? Bc the max is 2 and the min is -1?
Can someone post the hardest problem? Were there a lot of solving equations questions? Were there a lot of probability questions?
