SAT 2 Math Level II Discussion May 2 2009

Start posting once embargo is lifted

edit: How did I mess up the topic that badly. Too much testing today I guess.

so many questions… ready to burst… O.O

First time taking the test and it seemed a lot easier than the practice tests my barron’s prep book had given me. Does anyone know if this test was easier than usual and will as a result have a harsher curve?

Barrons is a lot tougher than the real thing. I liked the test.

ughhh i thought it was rather difficult. I left seven blank and was unsure about 3-4. Does anyone have an idea of what type of score that might get me?

nah, i don’t believe it’ll have a harsher curve, but it WAS easier in my opinion. and i only took this one test today, so i didn’t have the fatigue of the people taking multiple tests. i was surprised at the lack of tough probability questions that barron’s prepares us for; i guess that’s why barrons is infamous for “over-preparing” us

that will be between around a 780… if not 790/800. but no lower.

by the way, when DOES the embargo lift, i.e. when can we start talking about it?

you can get between a 770 and 800 still, no worries

dude, 7 blank is already a 790, and if you get another 4 wrong let’s say then that reduces your raw to a 38, which is about a 740

ice ill bet money you get a 780+

omg. ***. i thought thta was really hard. i was sick and kept having to get up and blow my nose AND the stupid room didn’t have kleenex so when i ran out of my toilet paper supply, i had to sit there like a disgusting fool with snot all over me. i ran into time issues and i NEVER run into time issues. i hate being sick.

thanx for the confidence boost and good luck to your scores too

What score would i get if i skipped 10, yes TEN questions, and answered every other one???

if you got all 40… 760-780

I got too confident and ran out of time :(

I thought it was harder than the practice tests from CB I’ve taken [easier than the 15 realistic tests though, haha!] but then again, I hadn’t taken the other tests at eight am. I had to skip two and i’m positive that at least one more was wrong…ah well, not THAT worried, I guess.

hmmm. lets just hope for the best i guess…

If the curve is that good, does that mean u can lave like ten blank, get ten wrong and still get like a 700?

Just trying to predict the worst possible scenario lol…

yes, easily

no, the curve isn’t that good. Missing 20 would land you somewhere in the 600s.

Great : ( I’m gonna have to retake it again.

Isn’t it true that colleges frown upon scores less than 800 on the Math 2 because the curve is so generous?
