I have an 800 in Math 2, 760 in chemistry, and a 740 in physics (never took the class). I am afraid that my SAT 2s do not show enough variety..they are all math/science. Should I bother taking world history (I only know European history and would probably get a bit short of a 700)?

Hmm, I doubt European history would be enough. Though I also think it depends on your intended major no?

I thought of the same thing, though I think I might take just English, World History, and US History - this is for politics/history interests.

I'm almost sure I talked to someone on admissions about this some time ago and from what I remember it pretty much doesn't matter. If they had wanted different subjects, they would have asked for them. The SAT already covers some humanities, so its not like Harvard won't have any assessments in that area.

my guidance counselor told me to take the tests that i think i would do the best at. according to her, colleges focus on the scores more than the actual tests. as long as they are in different subjects like you have, you should be fine. you should be wary of taking both the math I and math II cus that would be redundant.

I had the same combination- Physics, Math II, and Chemistry when I got in. They don't mind- they're happy to see high scores. Stop worrying so much! :)
