Could not find an official October thread so here it is.
Are you allowed to bring a ruler?
Scared to death for this test and I have been studying since June…
Just gave the test! Find it quite tricky and different ! Way more harder than I expected! Wanted an 800 but unless the curve is linient i dont thing its possible to get above 770 also! Gonna give it once more!
Well I got an 720 in physics while i wrote it alongside chem , in which i got 800 ! Then in june i got 710
I want an 800 and i was wondering if collegeboard checks the previous result and does ut jnfluence the nee reusults?
Any idea guys?
@Shradeya410 sam thing here; wrote in May with no prep and got 730. Prepared for this one and found it harder
Expecting 770 or so
Oh my … my son is taking this test as I type
Was it that bad?
What did you get for the graph of magnetic strength of a wire?
Linear or parabolic.
Wait are you guys international? The test just started here in US.
Nevermind
I thought the same thing but the linear one went to zero. Magnetic field strength decreases but never gets 0. What was the one with capacitors?
Are you sure?
And the pendulum questions:
Gravitational Potential of Y = 2 X Gravitational Potential of Y
Velocity Y = Velocity X
Period Y = sqr2 X Period X
Sorry, right side of the first one will be X.
I don’t know why the Physics thread is always quiet compared to the Math and Biology threads. I find it puzzling since Engineering appears to be a popular major around this forum. Physics and Math are the cornerstones of Engineering.
Not too many people take it.
@Ballerina2016 But it sure looks to me that a lot of people here want to go into Engineering … It would only make sense to take the tests most related to the major, Math and Physics in this case.
@gegri123 I thought the periods would be equal because the equation is T=2pi*sqrt(L/g). Mass doesn’t have an effect on the period according to the equation
I agree. I said period is the same, velocity of the bigger one is greater by a factor of root 2, and the GPE is twice as big.
For the capacitance, the smallest initial current is the resistor, the one after time is the two capacitors. The biggest KE / velocity of the satellite was the one with the smallest radius.
What did you put for the virtual image question - where do you need to stand to see the image?
You can’t see a virtual image.
