For the best schools, is not having a 800 on my subject tests going to hurt badly?

Sit down take a breath.

700 and above should be fine

To which schools are you referring?

Not really HYPS level, but say USC, Carnegie Mellon, NYU, etc… I got my scores back today and they were a 670, 710, and 790.

What was the 670 in? The other two scores should definitely be competitive; congrats! ![]()
I think it depends on the subject for the 670…

Thanks! Unfortunately, the 670 was on Math 2 so I’m going to retake it. Generally, you only send 2 tests right?

Yes, I think that most colleges just ask for the SAT I and two SAT II tests. Some colleges require you to send ALL of your scores though, just a heads up!

Yeah the top two are very competitive for most of the schools you named. Just a side note, psychologically I think that a lot of ppl see 700-690 a lot bigger of a drop than 740-730 for example. Completely random but for me the cut off of good scores is 700 for me, and I just realised that was probly why…

I see what you mean
