I registered to take Biology but now, I want to take Bio AND US History. I don't have to notify Collegeboard, do I? In the email, it says I can take any additional tests and they'll bill me the fee. I wanted to confirm on CC.

Yes on the day of the test you can change the test subjects and take more than what you put when you registered...then they will send a bill for the fees.

so that means they have copies of all tests? is every subject test offered this year the same then?

On test day, you'll get a booklet with all of the subject tests in it. You'll just have to open it to whichever subject you are writing and code in the subject code onto your scantron. I'm assuming booklets within the same test centre will be different for security reasons as well as from test day to test day.

Yes that means that they have copies of all the tests in one booklet. Every subject test is the same I think the only ones that change is if you're taking a language than that's a different thing because you can chose between listening and just the language.

If every subject test is the same, how come there aren't more people on CC giving away what's on the test?

...because it's illegal?

Where did you get that idea from? It's like the SAT I: every test day will have a different set of questions; someone who wrote the May test for chem will have answered a different set of questions than someone who wrote the April test.

so it says above you can take additional tests on the test day, like if you sign up for 1 you can take 2 or 3. Can you sign up for 2 and then decide to take only 1? I guess the smartest thing to do is to just sign up for 1 and then play it by ear?

thanks

Yes, you can sign up for 2and only write 1; you will not be refunded for the extra test however.

thanks CDN_dancer. So if you sign up for 1 and want to take more, what is the process? Is it automatically billed to the credit card used to register? Does the student need to do anything special other than just stay and take the additional test(s)?

I remember when I went in to write the SAT II, a few people wanted to write more tests than they originally signed up for. I'm not entirely sure what they did, but I do know they had to talk to the proctor before the exam started. Don't think it was a problem though; it was probably just a matter of figuring out payment.
