SAT 2 scores

I cannot find this information anywhere. Does UCLA requires all SAT subject test scores?

Nope, you can choose what you what to report. Good Luck!

Thank you @H454482 May I ask how do you know? Many people give me complete different answers.

They do not require SAT Subject Test Scores, but they are recommended for Engineering. From their website:

“Applicants to the Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science are strongly encouraged to take the following SAT Subject Tests: Math Level 2 and a science test (Biology E/M, Chemistry, or Physics) that is closely related to the applicant’s intended major.”

So, if you want to be a competitive candidate and you are applying to an Engineering major, you should take the Math Level 2 and 1 Science test and submit the scores, but if you are applying to another major they are not necessary.

What SAT science will be closely related to computer science and engineering? Will biology do or they will want physics?

@Ballerina016 My understanding has always being that engineers students have to be well-versed in science in general but Physics in particular, except those going to Chemical (Chem) and Biomedical (Bio/Chem).

I found this flowchart for CS at UCLA and it looks like the program requires a lot more Physics (3 classes + 2 labs) than Bio or Chem (1 Biochemistry). Judging for the curriculum, I would think that Physics would make for a stronger application.
