Sat 2 submission

Well, I'm writing my SAT in October. I heard we can submit the October scores for Early Decision so it got me a little relieved but the other question that leaves me tensed is whether I can send my SAT subjects score after I have applied for Early Decision for its inclusion in the application in some college because I would have to write the SAT subjects in November. I'll be glad if one could help. Thanks in advance! :)

October SAT or subject tests are fine for ED schools; however, whether they accept Nov tests for ED depends on school; many do, some don’t, so please name college you are considering for ED.

well i’ll most probably use ED for Columbia/UPenn/Harvard/MIT/Stanford/Caltech/Berkeley …

I heard somewhere that we can send SAT subjects scores later on even after submitting our application for ED. Is that true? Do colleges wait for our SAT subject scores?
Thanks !

ED is binding and you can apply ED to only one college. Early Action (EA) is non-binding and whether you can apply EA or ED to other colleges depends on college:

Berkeley and UCs generally have no ED or EA program. For UCs applications are due by end of Nov for regular admission and all tests must be completed by the Dec test date. Subject tests are not required but recommended particularly for engineering where math 2 and a science are recommended. UCs do not accept the math 1.

Stanford and Harvard have no ED but have single choice early action. That means if you choose to apply early action to one of those you cannot apply EA or ED to any other college.

For its EA, Stanford requires all tests to be completed by Oct. It does not require SAT subject tests for admission but recommends two.

Harvard has not yet specifically put out all the requirements for its EA (which is just beginning this year) but likely it will accept Nov subject tests (two required) because that is what it did before when it had EA but will need to check when rules are confirmed.

Caltech has only EA and does not prohibit you from applying elsewhere either EA or ED, but does require that all tests be completed by the Oct test date for EA; it requires two subject tests which must be a Math II and either physics or chemistry.

MIT has EA not ED, accepts Nov test scores for EA but you should designate it as a free send so scores are automatically sent when released, requires two subject tests, a math (1 or 2) and a science (Bio, Physics or Chem), and allows you to apply ED or EA elsewhere.

Columbia and Upenn both have only ED (you are allowed to apply EA elsewhere) and accept Nov tests but state for Nov tests you should designate the college as one of your free sends so it is automatically sent when released so it gets there on time. If you don’t do that Upenn says you must use rush delivery for sending after the score comes out; Columbia doesn’t say what to do in the alternative so best to designate as a free send.

Thanks! no answer could be more lucid than this!
Thanks a lot drusba :)
