SAT 2 Tests

My son is a freshman in high school and he wants to take the Bology SAT test this June. I think it is a great idea, however, what happens if he does not do so well on the test? Does the score automatically stay on his permanent record for all the colleges he applies to see down the road, or can he choose not to submit the score if he does not wish to ?. Thanks

That depends whether or not the schools he applies to allow for “score choice”. Many schools do allow score choice (he can pick and choose) but there are those that require submitting a full testing history. If he doesn’t do well it isn’t that big of a problem because he can either take it again in the future and/or take other subject tests (hopefully scoring higher). If he is going to take the bio subject test encourage him to prepare for it even if it is honors or AP level.
