When should we expect the registration to be open for SAT 2022-2023?
particular we want to know about the August 2022 SAT.

Interesting that registration gets open one month before the actual date in August’22.
Once the registration gets open for the 2022-2023 year, it means kids could register for any SAT test during year 22-23?

IIRC, when it opens, it opens for all testings for that academic year. At least it did back in the day.
I would urge anyone wanting to take these tests to sign up as soon as you can.
Slots fill up very quickly, and, at least in this part of the country (Bay Area), you might find that the only available test centers are 50-100 miles away. Or not at all within reason.
I don’t know if that will be the case going forward, but it sure has been the case for the 2021-2022 SAT season.

I suspect the release had a pandemic-related delay last year, and possibly 2020. Past performance doesn’t always indicate the future, but I’d start checking in mid-late April.
Yes, it has always opened for the entire testing year - August through June. I would expect this year to be the same.

I think there was so much pent-up demand from 2019-2020 and 2020-2021. That may be why it was so bad for 2021-2022.
Perhaps it will get better, but why take the chance?
