totally not necessary

haha ok i thought so but about everyone's getting paranoid about any score under an 800 which got be paranoid... lol

thx, xjayz.

jehangircama: ECs I cannot help you with. You need to (or should already know) what you're passionate about.

Bio: 790
Chem: 760
IIC: 800
Physics: (Will be taking it next year, =))

Foolonthehill (what an ironic username!)

You'll be fine. I'm guessing you LOVE science :)

xjayz, i've got 12 yrs of piano (trinity college grade 8), editor, student correspondent for a national paper and head boy as my ECs. i also play sports and read a bit. so with a 2150-2200 sat1 and about 2300+ sat2 (PCM) will i be ok?thanks

I got a 750 Biol (right on the border) but I'm an international student.
I should retake, because I know with studying I can get an 800, yeah?

jehangircama: You are fine, but make sure your essays and stuff shine.

kisstheskyxx: No. You're fine. A 750 is already impressive; making it an 800 will raise a flag for them. Perhaps you are too grade centered.

Yeah, but I'm scared that anything less than 780, in my case the 750 in biol, will hurt me because I'll be against super smart International kiddos. I want to be a doctor so...
Damn it. I knew I should've waited till October lol.

-_- I still can't believe i got a 750 lol. I'm in denial.

Math II C: 700
US History: 740
World History: 720

are these scores really bad for HYPS? Should I retake/take some more, or should these scores be fine?

Thanks, xjayz, I'm actually a mathematics fanatic, but I love science as well!

if i want to study law in college, should i retake my iic for only 760? 760 is quite bad for iic i know, but since i am not going to have a science major, will they value the iic so much?

annandale1: No. You are fine.
cawaiigirl: No. That is an excellent score, since you aren't majoring in Math. Even if you were, that is an excellent score.
kisstheskyxx: I totally understand the high standards that we place on ourselves (no fault of our own). I know how it feels like where you expect something but you don't get what you expect. That's life, though. All discontent starts from getting something less than expected. 750 is a wonderful score and WILL NOT (I can guarantee you this) be the reason for your rejection. They will NOT take an int'l with a 760 because he or she got a 760. It is the whole package.

Remember, most of the time, the accept/reject/waitlist decisions come from subjective factors, NOT academic reasons.

thanks xjayz and btw do u know anyone doing Physics with music as a second major?
